![]() If you're looking for that something special ingredient to be added to the transfer of your tapes to DVD, then this is the place to be!
It's impossible to set a price on this level of transfer package, because everything will be tailored to meet your individual requirements. One thing you can be assured of is that all of the options applied to your package will have been agreed upon and will be utilised to gain the maximum benefit. Those options that aren't appropriate simply won't be included. We don't believe in supplying services that aren't required in some take-it-or-leave-it bundle. So, what are the options available? Especially useful when your transferred recording features distinct sections or topics, a menu makes the selection of the required "programme" easy and a pleasure for the viewer.
The background screen and the individual buttons can also include video clips. Background audio can also be included. Although some machines that handle PAL (UK TV) format discs as well as NTSC (US TV) format discs are appearing in the USA, if your disc(s) are intended for
overseas viewers, it is recommended to consider the need for conversion of the recording into the (primarily) American NTSC TV format. We can advise you on the requirements worldwide, & whether format conversion is necessary depending on your needs. It's a strange fact, but (UK TV) PAL format DVD players will handle NTSC format discs without any problems, but the reverse is not the case.
This is a seperate issue from the thorny problem of region coding applied to commercial discs. All GRT Media produced discs are Region 0 - universally acceptable. The placing of chapter points at 10 minute intervals as part of the basic package certainly improves the navigation of the recording transferred to disc, and much better than scanning a tape back and forward.
Take this a stage further with scene specific chapter points: all through your recording, as many chapter points as required (to a max of 99), linked to each scene within that recording - just like the last Hollywood blockbuster you purchased! Want to add some "extras" to your special DVD? To start with, what about incorporating those photos that were taken at the same time as the video?
Slideshows can take two different forms: user controlled, or autoplay (essentially another DVD movie created from your photos), & with optional background audio. Essentially taking the Photo Slideshow concept in a different direction. Similar to classic movie DVD releases that include radio show versions.
By including an additional folder within the DVD structure, it's possible to include all manner of multimedia files, from Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) versions of paper-based documents for the viewer to print on any DVD-enabled computer and pictures in (for example) JPEG files, to a variety of computer based audio & video files.
That's covered the main options available, but if you don't see exactly what you're looking for just email us at email@grtmedia.co.uk to discuss your requirements. |
